Fishing

Just about every weekend me and my dad have been waking up bright and early to go fishing. Its a great way to get out of the house during the pandemic and I have found a real passion for it. My dads been fishing since he was a teenager and now he is teaching me. Hopefully I can teach my kids one day, and hopefully do it better than he does.

The river we typically run is the McKenzie, a beautiful and scenic ride through the heart of nature - the perfect escape. The trees are tall, the water is clear, and there is quite a bit more wildlife to be seen besides the fish we catch. We catch lots of trout on it, either from the boat or the shore. My grandfather made the boat himself in the 80's and it still holds up just fine.

If you are having trouble keeping busy during quarantine, fishing is definitely one way to solve that problem. It is a time consuming task that is great for practicing patience, which makes it that much more rewarding when you catch something.

  1. This is really cool and the place seems beautiful. Was it hard to learn at first?
